About Me

I have been in IT in some form for almost twenty years and am currently working as a Technical Architect at AgileThought.  Prior to AgileThought, I was a Solutions Architect at Adventist Information Technology.  I am primarily a .Net C# developer but I have a lot of experience with JavaScript as well.  I would deny it if you asked me but I have experience writing software for SharePoint and have even done my fair share of VB.net.  My Bachelor's Degree is in Database Administration but ironically, I have never worked as a DBA.  I have however been a systems administrator and at my last job I designed and setup the infrastructure that supported the .Net environment for the company.

Lately even though I am a .Net dev I have focused on writing code in react-native.  This has been a huge adjustment for me since I am not in my comfortable strongly typed language.  I am defiantly a full-stack developer but my strong suite is on the backend with things like optimizations.  Making stuff pretty isn't my strong suite as you can tell from the way this site looks :).

Enough about my professional life, let me discuss my personal life.  Getting married to my wife over ten years ago has been one of the best things that has happened in my life.  My wife has also given me two wonderful sons that we are now homeschooling.

My wife and I have changed churches a bit over the years but have been active members in our church with volunteering regularly.  I have been on the tech teams at a couple of churches making sure that the buttons I press are the right ones and the congregation doesn't notice when I make a mistake.

Most of my blog is devoted to computers and technology, mainly because you write what you know and what you can easily write.  However, Jesus said “You are the salt of the earth,” and I cannot think of a better platform to get salty with than a website (although actions and speech work well too).  So on occasion there may be salty post or two which hopefully in turn will help more people begin to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

So that is most of me in a nutshell, if you have any reason to contact me, click here.
